The Connecticut Cancer Foundation (CCF) of Old Saybrook, Connecticut will celebrate their Inaugural Gallery Exhibition, Horses: In Harmony, with a Reception and Gallery Discussion open to the public. The exhibit will be curated by Marsha Malinowski of Malinowski & Associates, Fine Art Advisory. The celebration will take place on Friday, September 28, 2018 from six to eight pm.
The exhibition will remain on display from Friday, September 28 until October 26, 2018. It is the first such exhibit to be presented in the new CCF Gallery in Old Saybrook, and it will introduce three acclaimed Argentinian artists to the American art world—sculptor Marcela Ganly, artist Esteban Diaz Mathé, and photographer Aldo Sessa.
Marcela Ganly is an alumna of Connecticut College whose bronze animals are alive in motion. Her sculptures embody what makes each horse unique and particular: its spirit, its movement, its temperament, and powerful vitality.

Esteban Diaz Mathé is devoted to portraying the spirit of his native country. His artistic output embraces the culture of Argentina with the realism and aplomb of the masters.
Aldo Sessa’s work continues to flourish at the age of seventy-nine. His superb photography can be found in collections all over the world including the new exhibition at the Museo de Arte Moderno in Buenos Aires. Sessa has produced fifty books on different subjects related to Buenos Aires and Argentina in the last forty years, accumulating an enormous body of work displaying a profound knowledge of the essence of his country.
Sculpture by Marcela GanlyMalinowski has curated this multi-medium show to highlight the best of equine art in three disciplines, all sharing the gallery floor and inviting us to imagine a world where a horse is both a thing of beauty and an intrepid partner in life’s work.
“It’s a privilege to inaugurate the CCF gallery with such an extraordinary trio of artists who so beautifully portray their respect and affection of horses in very different ways,” said Malinowski who has met all three artists in her travels to Argentina.
Malinowski will conduct Weekly Gallery Chats on Fridays from 5:30 – 7 pm on October 5, 12, and 19. The Gallery Chats are open to the public at no charge.
“Our vision for including an art gallery in our new CCF building is to use art to serve the charitable cause of helping cancer patients in Connecticut. We trust this exhibit will be the beginning of many more exceptional exhibits to come,” said Jane and John Ellis, founders of Connecticut Cancer Foundation.
This exhibition will remain on view until October 26th and is open to the public each Friday from 2-7 pm or by appointment.
