Thin Chocolate-Chip Cookies

2 sticks unsalted butter, softened (not margarine. Bring butter to room temperature.)½ cup sugar1½ cups (packed) brown sugar2 eggs1 teaspoon vanilla extract1¾ cups all purpose flour¾ teaspoon salt1 teaspoon baking soda1½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips Preheat over to 350° FCream the butter and sugars (food processor works for this). Beat the eggs and vanilla until well blended. In a separate large bowl, sift together the flour, salt and baking soda. Combine butter mixture and flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop small spoonfuls onto non-stick baking sheets. Bake for 6 or 7 minutes at 350. Let cool.
