Penn-Marydel foxhound

Foxhunting on the Delmarva Peninsula

Enjoy this hunting video captured by Janice Sensi in real time—no editing! A brace of red foxes are moving carefully ahead of hounds. Their attention is so completely focused on their pursuers behind that they never see our photographer. One fox nearly runs into her. It darts away as its companion sits, looks, and decides to head in the opposite direction. Eleven couple of Penn-Marydel foxhounds arrive singing to the line, and Janice is there to help prevent a split. Sensi hunts on the Delmarva Peninsula, which separates Chesapeake Bay from the Atlantic Ocean and incorporates bits of Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia. Click to see more hunting videos on her blog.
